Bo-hyuk Suh is Humanities Korea (HK) Research
Professor at the Institute for Peace and Unification
Studies (IPUS) of Seoul National University,
and he was an expert adviser on North Korean
human rights at the National Human Rights
Commission of Korea, and the President of the
Association of Contemporary North Korea Studies.
Dr. Suh majors in political science, especially in
the peace and human rights issue in the context
of the Korean Peninsula. He has been advising
governmental and non-governmental organizations
on South Koreas North Korea policy. His recent
writings include Division Violence (Co-ed with
Philo Kim. Korean, 2016), Asia-Pacific between
Conflict and Reconciliation (Contributor, 2016),
North Korean Human Rights: Theory, Reality, and
Policy (Revised. Korean, 2014), Resolving Korean
Conflict through a Combination of Human Rights
and Human Security (2016), and Militarization of
Korean Human Rights (2014).
